SAFETY TIP TUESDAY

Before equipment is moved, the path should already be planned.

Clearances, floor conditions, turning points, overhead obstacles, and access areas all matter when handling heavy machinery.

Taking time to evaluate the route beforehand helps reduce risk, prevent delays, and improve overall jobsite safety.

Know the path before the move starts.

FAQ FRIDAY

How long does a machinery move usually take?

Every project is different.

Timing depends on:
• equipment size and weight
• access conditions
• transportation requirements
• utility disconnection
• placement complexity

Some moves can be completed in hours, while larger or more complex projects may require multiple phases and additional coordination.

Planning ahead helps improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and keep projects moving safely.

The better the plan, the smoother the timeline.

🏗️ JOB HIGHLIGHT

Precision Rigging recently completed the unload and placement of an Anderson router for DICA.

Projects like these require more than simply moving equipment from one location to another. Proper planning, controlled ex*****on, and attention to detail help ensure the equipment is handled safely and positioned accurately.

From unloading to final placement, our team works to help keep projects moving efficiently while protecting both the equipment and the facility.

Thank you to DICA for trusting Precision Rigging with this project.

Plan. Control. Execute.

SAFETY TIP TUESDAY

Before any equipment moves, everyone involved should understand the plan.

Clear communication helps prevent confusion, improves coordination, and keeps projects moving safely and efficiently.

On industrial moves, every team member plays a role, but the plan only works when everyone is on the same page.

One voice. One direction. One coordinated move.

FAQ FRIDAY
How far in advance should machinery moves be scheduled?

Scheduling depends on several factors, including:
• project size
• equipment type
• site conditions
• transportation requirements
• crane or specialty equipment availability

Larger or more complex projects often require additional planning time and coordination.

The earlier planning begins, the smoother the project typically goes — helping improve scheduling, reduce downtime, and keep projects moving efficiently.

Good planning starts before the equipment ever moves.

🚧 Safety Tip Tuesday 🚧

Load securement is one of the most important parts of any move. Even small shifts during transport or lifting can create major safety risks if equipment is not properly secured and balanced.

Before any equipment moves, attachment points, weight distribution, chains, straps, blocking, and communication should all be verified.

At Precision Rigging, safety starts long before the equipment leaves the ground.

NATIONAL SAFETY MONTH

Safety isn’t a slogan, it’s a system.

Every evaluation.
Every calculation.
Every lift.

During National Safety Month, we’re reminded that controlled ex*****on helps protect both people and equipment on every jobsite.

At Precision Rigging, safety is built into every step of the process.

❓ FAQ FRIDAY ❓

How do you plan for tight or confined spaces?

Every tight-space move starts with a plan.

Before any equipment is moved, our team evaluates:
✔ Entry and exit paths
✔ Overhead clearance
✔ Floor conditions
✔ Surrounding obstacles and access points

From there, we determine the safest and most controlled approach for the move, including equipment selection, positioning strategy, and movement path.

Depending on the project, that may involve:
⚙ Specialized lifting equipment
↔ Controlled repositioning
🔧 Partial disassembly for clearance

Tight spaces leave very little room for error, which is why planning and communication are critical before the move ever begins.

The tighter the space, the more important the plan.

At Precision Rigging, controlled ex*****on starts long before equipment starts moving.
