Andrew working on the road has been a huge adjustment period for Kinsley, she has hard days and you can definitely tell she misses her daddy. Working and providing for your family is a huge thing in everyone’s life, but we view family time more important than anything. While Andrew’s job didn’t stop at all and we only saw him when he was finishing up for the nights or during lunches for a short time, we loved being able to see daddy nightly. We never thought we would’ve gotten the okay for a short 8 hour travel west going into my 38th week of pregnancy. Kinsley and I spent Wednesday in the car, Thursday exploring the little city, going to the museum, taking daddy lunch, playing in the dirt while dad worked, taking naps, and holding the tape measure for dad!
Kinsley and I are so grateful for Andrew working hard, even if that means he’s on the road. It is my job to take the time for his children to see him, even if it means we take a road trip for a few days! Just watching our daughter light up when she saw him, made the entire trip worth it, even if it was hard on me.
There is a lot of behind the scenes that goes on for these guys being on the road continuously that isn’t seen. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows when it comes to working on the road with truck issues, the weather, or just him missing important family things but we appreciate what he’s doing. 🤍
P.S. I’m still very much pregnant and going on the trip didn’t put me in labor unfortunately 🙄
