🎣 Meet Karter Moody -The Future of Competitive Fishing 🎣
My name is Karter Moody and I will be a senior at Groton Area High in South Dakota. Many people in Groton and surrounding towns know me as the farm kid and football player, but most of all for my love of the outdoors. Some of my earlier memories are sitting in a field duck hunting with dad, or taking out the pontoon with my cousins and uncle to catch some walleye. Although I love everything outdoors, bass fishing really got me hooked. In my generation YouTube was at the tip of our fingers, and I frequently found myself watching the likes of Scott Martin and Kevin Van Dam fishing massive MLF and FLW tournaments. Taking inspiration from these icons of the industry, I've always wanted to tournament fish for bass, and I finally have the opportunity. With my recent purchase of my 1983 Ranger Fisherman, my dream of fishing bass tournaments is now a reality, as I have started to fish tournaments through Glacial Lakes Bass. My goal fishing these tournaments is to achieve my dream of tournament fishing, but also to get the younger outdoors community involved. As we know there's been a decline in outdoorsmen and women in our younger generation, and I believe that showing young people options such as tournament fishing could potentially get more kids in the outdoors.
