When critical equipment fails, time isn’t just money, it can impact the entire operation.

Qualitech was called in for an emergency repair and restoration of a 100 HP low-voltage AC motor and blower assembly supporting essential operations.

There was no time for unnecessary delays.

Our team mobilized quickly and took the equipment through a comprehensive restoration process, including:

🔹 Complete disassembly, inspection and documentation
🔹 Computerized electrical testing — resistance, phase balance, polarity index and surge testing
🔹 Precision micrometer and rotor run-out checks
🔹 Soft-foot inspection
🔹 Cleaning, blasting and restoration of components
🔹 Class H epoxy varnish treatment and baking of electrical windings
🔹 New bearing installation
🔹 Dynamic balancing to ISO G1.0 specifications
🔹 Blower disassembly and field balancing
🔹 Repairs to both end shields
🔹 Full-load-voltage no-load testing with temperature and vibration monitoring
🔹 Final blasting, painting and preparation for return to service

The objective was simple: restore the equipment safely, correctly, and quickly.

Through rapid response, precision engineering and a disciplined restoration process, our team helped get this critical asset back on the path to reliable operation while minimizing operational downtime.

QUALITECH is pleased to support the reliability and maintenance of critical high-voltage electrical infrastructure through the supply of 145kV Dead Tank Breaker (DTB) bushings for Incomer DTB circuit breakers.

The project was executed across four phases:

Phase 1 — Completed
• Supply and delivery of six (6) 145kV DTB bushings for Incomer 1.

Phase 2 — Supply
• Supply of six (6) DTB bushings for Incomer 2.
• Provision of required spare bushings for DTB circuit breakers.

Phase 3 — Installation
• Installation of DTB spare bushings for Incomer 1.

Phase 4 — Installation
• Installation of DTB spare bushings for Incomer 2.

This phased approach supports the effective replacement and maintenance of high-voltage breaker components while helping to enhance equipment reliability, operational continuity, and long-term asset performance.

Our Projects Division recently completed the installation of a complete system onboard a vessel, working closely with the client and specialist service engineers to ensure the installation was completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with the project drawings and requirements.

The scope included the installation of pipework, pipe spools, fittings, chute, banana block, tugger winch, flowmeter, and associated equipment, followed by NDT and pressure testing to verify the completed system.

But this project was about more than installation.

It represented an important step forward for Qualitech’s Projects Division, giving our team the opportunity to take on a new challenge, work in a marine environment, collaborate with different specialists, and strengthen our capabilities in vessel-based project ex*****on.

From the workshop to the vessel, we’re continuing to expand what we can deliver.
