The journey of Mr. Sirawich Kerdnoi during the Summer Internship at Kobe University.

============

For Sirawich Kerdnoi (Tonson), the summer internship program at Kobe University was more than research and paper reading. He spent time exploring Kobe and nearby sightseeing locations. He visited the Kobe Port Tower, the hyperboloid-shaped skyscraper to enjoy the panoramic views of the Kobe city. He walked through Ikuta Road, famous for its trendy shops, restaurants, cafes, and lively nightlife. Nearby is the Ikuta Shrine, where visitors pray for safe childbirth and romance.
He also visited Nunobiki Herb Garden Park, one of Japan's most extensive herb gardens with panoramic Kobe and Seto Inland Sea sceneries. Visitors could participate in workshops to make herbal products, such as potpourri (perfumes). The last visit was to Rokko Garden Terrace, where Kobe, Osaka Bay, and Awaji Island could be seen from a stunning angle.

Sirawich thanks Prof. Chiaki Ogino and the research team for their valuable guidance and support throughout this internship. He likes to convey his gratitue toward Asst. Prof. Wanida Koo-Amornpattana, Assoc. Prof. Chularat Sakdaronnarong, Assoc. Prof. Sira Srinives, and Ms. Nawaporn Saengdaeng for assistance during the application process. He acknowledges the Mahidol University Internship Scholarship for the financial support.

On 3 September 2024, the CheInter team, led by Asst. Prof. Weeravut Chaiwat, the program director, participated in the Mahidol University International Demonstration School - MUIDS guidance section. On this occasion, Dr. Weeravut gave a special talk regarding the program curriculum and market opportunities for Chemical Engineers. Lots of the MUIDS high schoolers attended the event.
