Manufacturing of the 3rd generation prismatic steel NiMH 7.2V battery is set to begin in March 2024. This generation is produced by a different factory from the 1st, 2nd, and 4th generations, featuring a new factory and a brand-new design. It's important to note that JIV Battery is not the local distributor for the 3rd generation—anyone can purchase directly from the factory.
If you need the direct contact information, I’m more than happy to share it. I simply hope for fair competition in our region, allowing for more benefits to the end users.
Additionally, for the Malaysian market, the 3rd generation steel prismatic battery will not be available in blue casing. Instead, we will supply a grey casing version for those interested. This battery comes with a 3-year or 100,000 km standard factory warranty for added peace of mind.

This version has been engineered with a new casing design that optimizes airflow to better suit the hot and humid climate of Southeast Asia. This ensures that each battery module within the set receives the maximum cooling effect, improving overall performance and longevity.

While the casing may appear similar, the internal components represent a significant advancement in performance. The increased number of electrode plates results in lower internal resistance, which enhances efficiency and reliability. Achieving this involves a complex production process and advanced technology, rather than simply adding a layer or two.
We guarantee that each JIV battery supplied in a blue casing meets the highest quality standards directly from the factory. We do not use 2nd generation internals for our 4th generation batteries to cut costs.
