Alright, so here we’re doing a review of the PCB design. One key step at this stage is running the DRC - Design Rule Check.

DRC compares the layout against a set of predefined rules based on the manufacturer’s capabilities, like minimum trace width, spacing, clearances, and via sizes. It also helps flag things like overlapping copper, unconnected nets, or footprint mismatches.

Running this check helps us verify the design is electrically and manufacturability-ready before moving ahead.

Welcome to another video, another project and another experience which gave us the chance to learn some new things. So It is basically a client project where we did schematics & PCB design.

This project is built around the ESP32 C3 Mini and includes a PIR sensor, a TOF sensor, a DC motor connection, a buck-boost converter for stable voltages and other components.

We are working on a project that involves reverse engineering. This one is a control board that handles both high-voltage AC and low-voltage DC outputs.

Our team analyzed and reverse engineered the board using different techniques, and it took some time to get it done. But overall, it was an interesting process where you really have to understand and study the design.

And you can see the results on screen.

Last week was amazing, from working on reverse engineering of the boards, to building and testing another project, creating a wiring diagram for the client, updating our website, and shooting portfolio videos. We’re almost done with another ESP32-based PCB project, while also juggling other things and we even enjoyed an awesome barbecue. Then late Sunday night, while we were still on site working, Monday started… and we just kept going strong together.

Here’s a quick look at a client project in which we designed the PCB for a pet tracker.

It's basically a 4-layer board, built around an ESP32 microcontroller paired with the A9G module for GPS and cellular connectivity, an accelerometer for motion sensing and other supporting electronics.

This is a smart device project that we completed recently.

It’s a battery-powered smart device based on ESP32, featuring a microphone, speaker, an RGB LED strip, rechargeable battery management, and other supporting electronics.

For this project, we handled the complete design workflow, including circuit and PCB design, as well as the CAD and mechanical work.

It’s amazing to see the final output come together, combining electronics and mechanical design.

Recently, we received the breakout boards for a project we're working on, which also includes wireless charging.

During testing, we realized we had accidentally ordered bare copper wire instead of insulated wire.

Instead of reordering and waiting for insulated wire, we decided to try a quick workaround so we could continue testing.

First, we tried using paint as insulation, but that didn’t work.

Then we wrapped the wire with simple scotch tape, and surprisingly, it worked well enough for our testing.
