An Open Letter to new PEC Leadership.

Congratulations to the complete new team honored to reach at PEC platform, nation needs a pivotal role of PEC in national growth and development.

You are requested to consider following points at your agenda:

1. Need assessment of job opportunities in Pakistan and numbers of Engineers graduated every year to formulate a national policy in further accreditation of Engineering institutes.
2. Conducting a strict audit of existing engineering institutes to swipe out substandard institutes purely on merit to assure quality Engineering education in the country.

3. Derive a national strategy to develop national engineering concerns by doing extra facilitation to pave way for engineering excellence, if south Korea can excel globally just because of her growth in engineering sector why can't We, the Pakistan..!

4. Enforcement of competitive bidding for mega projects in the country, multinational companies should only be entertained by doing partnership (or essential subcontract agreement) with local engineering concerns to uplift local engineering concerns. Mini state owned companies (FWO, NLC etc..) should only be given projects strictly, as a result of competitive bidding.

5. Doing essential legislation/ arrangements to Head the state engineering enterprises, the expert of the fields from Engineering Professions.

6. Enforcement of services structure for Engineers i.e the issue much discussed in all PEC Elections but still deprived of implantation.

7. The last but most important is job opportunities for young Engineers, this shall widely be addressed if aforesaid action points taken seriously and implemented immediately, on War Footings.

I am hopeful that new PEC leadership shall consider these issue on their top of agenda. This shall be real service to the engineering community and most importantly the national development and prosperity.
