Remember the growling Montero V6 from last month? It made great power and a beautiful roar. The customer returned with a new challenge: he wants it to purr, without losing power.

We installed a custom Borla exhaust paired with a muffler designed and built in-house.

The result? Extra horsepower, while keeping the decibel level completely stock by LTO standards.

For those that failed and hate math (you know who you are) and don’t like looking at graphs or simply too lazy to bother to compute, you can upload our Dyno chart and ask ChatGPT to get average Hp and torque gains.
In this case it’s the LC80 we did today and almost all will just focus on the peak power gain of only 7hp, which totally not correct.
Read to get to correct answer and how it was computed

The 2.7L 2TR-FE engine in the Fortuner is notorious for being bulletproof, but extremely lethargic—especially in the low-to-mid RPM range where daily driving actually happens. Peak horsepower gains make for flashy social media posts, but unusable high-RPM power doesn't help when you're trying to pass a truck at 2,500 RPM.

By tuning the Unichip for mid-range torque and sharper throttle response rather than chasing top-end horsepower numbers, you addressed the exact pain and made this Forty more fun to drive.
