I always love the sound of the rain but as an overthinker as I always am, heavy rains like this reminds me of the Korean Movie “Parasite” I have watched on Netflix years ago.

In the movie,the poor family members who lived in the slums were trying to save their things as their home was flooded and in that scene, it was shown how disastrous heavy rains are for those who live in poverty. Meanwhile, as they went back to work the next day on the rich family they are employed with, the lady boss exclaimed that “The rain last night was a blessing”, considering that the cold weather has enabled them to relax at their luxurious home.

So my takeaway on that scene that still haunts me everytime I see heavy rainfall is that, “What may be beneficial for one person might not be suitable for another due to differences in needs, values, or beliefs. “

While we do not know other people are going through all the time I think it is nice if we try to:

* be sensitive to other people’s feelings
* Always have empathy
* Try to put ourselves on other person’s perspective

At the end of the day, we are all same adult that are supposed to help each other. 🦄
