In 2001, the European market for feed has required all suppliers to be GMP-HACCP certified. As such, management decided to address its requirements by introducing new procedures and guidelines. On June 28, 2002, ICOM successfully got the certificate of compliance and has been maintained it for years until the closure of the ICOM Plant. In response to the SMPFC’s quality road map, ICOM has also suc

cessfully fulfilled the ISO 9001:2000 requirements and got its certificate of compliance on May 27, 2004, thus became the first oil mill to be ISO certified in the Far East Asia. On October 30, 2006, SMC seized its operation and retired all employees and this was leased by Faneuil Enterprises, Inc. and later on by Iligan Bay Milling & Trading Corporation (IBMTC).
