Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Detailed fire Door and Ironmongery Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical detailing and specification of doors, including fire doors, and associated ironmongery. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to provide expert support on various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for doors and ironmongery using CAD software.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate technical specifications align with client and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive door schedules, ironmongery sets, and related documentation.
• Provide expert advice on suitable door hardware, finishes, and solutions to meet project needs.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of fire door regulations and ensure all specifications comply with relevant fire safety standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to verify product specifications, availability, and lead times.
• Support project teams with technical problem-solving and guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure all technical drawings and documents comply with industry standards, building codes, and company guidelines.
• Provide assistance to sales staff and confirming customers orders, along with sending quotations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical detailing of doors and ironmongery, with specific experience in fire door specifications.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of door systems, hardware, and their applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with relevant standards, such as BS-8214, and EN-16034 standards.
• Experience working with bespoke or specialized door systems.
• Knowledge of construction methods and building materials.
