The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Friday said it has imposed an indefinite suspension on all road reblocking works over possible corruption.

โ€œBakit ba ang DPWH binabakbak ang mga kalye na parang okay naman para lang gawin ulit. Well, siguro, sa maraming pagkakataon, alam na natin kung bakit. Kasi pinagkakakitaan lang iyon. Pinagkakakitaan yung pagsisira. Pinagkakakitaan din 'yung paggagawa ulit,โ€ he said.

If there is only a strict implementation of requiring a "Feasibility Study" on every infrastructure project, this would pace down the speed of procurement of projects, hence, also reducing the rate of corruption. Dibale nang mabagal ang development, basta wag lang mapunta sa maling kamay ang pera.
Fast-paced development results into making "Typical floor plans" na hindi akma sa actual site condition which contributes to poor/wrong implementation.

With proper preparation, planning, and right professionals, we can save lives.
Kudos to the Foundation and Structural Design Engineers, as well as other allied professionals and the contractor.

Concrete piles served its purpose well even the soil foundation had collapsed.
The structure remained standing and gave time for people to evacuate the building.
