The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Provincial Office of Sarangani and General Santos City (TESDA PO SARGEN) conducted an inspection of TECCHNO Lean Industrial Development, Inc. on September 30, 2026, in connection with the company’s application for registration under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program.
The inspection was conducted by Ms. Rodelyn Catilo, TESD Specialist II and EBET Focal, together with Mr. Efren Piquero, Expert, as part of TESDA’s assessment of the company’s readiness, facilities, equipment, work environment, and other requirements relevant to its proposed EBET program.
The inspection team was warmly welcomed and assisted by Engr. Herbert Seloterio, Company President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors, together with the company’s personnel. The activity included an ocular inspection of the company’s facilities and work areas, verification of equipment and resources, review of relevant documents and records, and discussions with company representatives regarding the proposed implementation of the EBET program.
Strengthening Industry-Based Skills Development
The inspection highlights the continuing partnership between TESDA and industry in bringing technical-vocational education and training closer to actual workplace requirements.
Under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework Act (Republic Act No. 12063), EBET programs are designed to strengthen collaboration between enterprises and TESDA in developing skills that respond to actual industry needs. TESDA defines an EBET program as TVET delivered by an enterprise, with theoretical instruction as a mandatory component.
For an industrial company such as TECCHNO, the proposed EBET program can provide an avenue for training to be closely integrated with actual workplace processes, equipment, standards, and practices.
