Cornerstone Building System The Patented "Cornerstone building system" is a Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) wall system, min R v Twice that of the NZ building code requirements.

The Cornerstone Building System (walls) is a solid 200mm thick polystyrene panel rebated edges tongue & groove together creating cavities for reinforced concrete posts with continuous bond beam. The Cornerstone Building system proved it's strength and shock absorption in the Christchurch Earthquakes, which to date the February 22nd 2011 & June 13th 2011 have been described as the being the 2nd & 3

rd most powerful Earthquakes after Japans Earthquake Tsunami disaster. Cornerstone homes were derectly under the fault line and quite a number in the epicenter of where the quakes hit. The system has endured High to Cyclonic wind conditions unscathed, with the polystyrene effectively acting as packaging for the reinforced Concrete post & beams therefore creating a Safer environment for the homeowners. One of the main features is the Energy efficiency with the R values (Insulation Value) being a minimum of 4.3 deg C / M2 for the 200mm panel. This means huge savings of 30% of energy not required for the home. We also provide Cornerstone Eco Floor is an Insulated foundation beam and polystyrene raft floor. Cornerstone (c) Insulated edge beam creates the perfect finish for the NZ's first fully insulated raft floor slab which can be used in many ways.
1. in good ground conditions with simply sheets of polystyrene to completely insulate or
2. with pods or sheets to form beams to suit a more robust system with polystyrene insulation below each beam to ensure the insulative integrity of the floor. IN ALL CASES WE HAVE THE TRUE RAFT FLOOR!
