I've been meaning to make myself a wee camping/bushcraft axe for a good long while now. Going on a camping trip for a few days so thought this was as good a time as any to whip one up. Axe head salvaged from an old hatchet I've had laying about for years, the handle is from a reclaimed oak board. Just needs an oiling, making a leather cover this evening when I've regained some Spoons, then it's all set 👌 🪓

Finally got tired of the broken handle and general sorry state of my No. 5 jack plane. Bought a box of crap recently, and in amongst it all was another No. 5.. I like my one better, neither one was in great condition. But managed to steal some bits of the crap one and breath life back into my favourite plane 🥰

Its been a hot minute since I did anything here. Some massive life changes a couple years ago took me away, but now I'm back! More on this later. Meanwhile, I really want to go mountain biking. But I don't own a car. I do, however own a Royal Enfield Himalayan.. Over two days of trial and some error, I have conjured up a prototype bike carrier. Next up is to build one for Gabrielle.
