Our Tap In Careers Day with Watercare Services Limited was a huge success.

From the first PPE brief to the final stations, the engagement was unreal.

The girls showed up curious, willing to give things a go, and open to pathways they might not have considered before.

One if the biggest takeaways?

University isn't the only pathway, and the opportunities are expansive in this industry.

What a way to kick off the new year! 🙌
We started the year with a full-on day of connection, learning and celebration as a team.

The day began with a welcome from our Managing Director, Hugh Goddard, before we jumped into team-building activities and refresher sessions on key safety topics — including manual handling, PPE updates, critical risk awareness and our company values. And yes, there was even some giant Jenga thrown in for good measure!

We then headed to the Massey–Birdwood Settlers Hall, a great local community facility, to wrap up the day with our annual awards celebration. These awards highlight everything that makes Pipeline & Civil such a special place — strong leadership, team spirit, a commitment to quality and learning, and the people who quietly go above and beyond every day. From rising stars and future thinkers to everyday heroes and our reliable “Mr (or Mrs) Fix-It”, it was an awesome opportunity to celebrate our people.

A special highlight was the Peter Stockman Values Award, presented this year to Stu Lawrie.

Stu continues to lead our field operations with the belief that we don’t just build great assets for our communities — we build great people.

Well done Stu — truly deserved. Great mahi 👏

Helping our local communities is something that reminds us why we do what we do 💪🏽

We were more than happy to lend a hand to the Ranui Action Project - RAP earlier this month, helping with the installation of a new blackboard and bathroom floor repairs alongside our partners Reliabuilder and McGreal flooring

The Ranui Action Project is a community development organisation that strives to deliver local programmes and activities that support education, employment, and wellbeing. Dedicated to giving back and empowering those around them, they are true champions of community in action!

From learner licence courses and CV support to free IT and legal advice drop-ins, RAP's mission is simple - to remove barriers and bring services closer to the community.

A huge thank you to Jolene Mareko and the team at Ranui Action Project for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful local work.

Tucked away in the eastern suburbs, the 𝗦𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀/𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 has been a home base for adventure, learning, and community since 1912 - but time has taken its toll.

The 1950s-built retaining wall behind the hall was collapsing, compromising drainage and putting the building’s foundations at risk. 𝗧𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗮 𝟱𝗧 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝟲-𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀.

Over the week, our crew removed the old driveway, bollards, timber piles, a large tree stump, and the failing wall. We then trimmed the site and spread topsoil, readying the area for the garage relocation and new retaining wall construction.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 - 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲. This effort kicks off a 5-year plan to restore and improve the hall so the next generation of Scouts has a safe, welcoming space to grow, connect, and explore.
