And just like that, Mamamuti’s first-ever six-week pleasure course is alive. ✨

This has been brewing for a while. Yesterday I put the invitation out, and within hours, almost half the spaces were filled.

Women are ready. Women are curious. And I’m pretty keen to start a pleasure revolution here in Raglan.

Someone messaged me last night: “What exactly are we going to learn?”

Let me undress this for you.

If your mind immediately went to women doing kinky things together… not quite, babe.

Over six weeks, in a safe and confidential environment, we’ll explore pleasure, our bodies, our senses, our desires, and the stories that stop us from welcoming what feels good.

We’ll unpack shame, flip a few inherited beauty and aging scripts, explore pleasure archetypes and talk cliteracy. Yes, we’re going there.

Your pleasure will look different to mine. That’s the point. This is a quest into what lights YOU up.

For the past few years, these practices have helped me move out of numbness, disconnection and robotic survival mode. I feel more alive, more connected to myself, and more able to meet what life brings.

And I’m ready to share that experience.

There can be room for pleasure alongside grief, rage, heartache and the everyday mess. Small moments count.

It’ll be fun, wild, honest, soft and sometimes tender. No performance required. Your pace. Your boundaries.

Come with your curiosity. Come as you are.

We’re starting in Raglan, but I have a feeling this won’t be the last. Curious about joining, or bringing this to your corner of Aotearoa? Message me. 🤍

MAMAMUTI PLEASURE COURSE
Six weeks. A circle of women. A little more aliveness. Raglan, Whāingaroa.

I want to gather a small group of women, once a week for six weeks, to discover together what happens when we make more room for pleasure in our daily lives.

If your mind immediately went to six weeks of women doing kinky things together… not quite, babe.

But will it be wild? Untamed? Honest? Quite possibly.

The pleasure I’m talking about has many doorways. Taste. Touch. Music. Movement. Rest. Laughter. Creativity. The things that bring you back into contact with yourself. The things that make you feel something.

And you don’t have to arrive happy.

Bring your grief, your rage, your heartache, your uncertainty. There can be room for pleasure alongside all of it. Sometimes it’s a tiny moment of relief. Sometimes it’s remembering that you have desires of your own.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve been finding my way from numbness, disconnection and an almost robotic survival mode towards feeling more alive, more connected and more able to meet my life.

Pleasure has been part of that journey. A powerful part. And I want to share some of the tools, experiences and practices that have helped me.

We’ll explore what pleasure actually means to each of us, including different pleasure archetypes, not as another box to fit into, but as a playful way to discover what lights you up.

Because your pleasure won’t look like mine. That’s the whole point.

My intention is to create a confidential, welcoming circle where we can be seen, heard, supported and acknowledged. Where there’s no performance required, no pressure to share, and no expectation to join in with anything that doesn’t feel right for you.

You set your pace. Your boundaries belong to you.

I keep thinking about how much of our lives we spend being useful, responsible, capable. How little encouragement we get to ask: What feels good to me? What do I want more of?

I want us to have somewhere to explore those questions. Together.

I’m putting this out here because I feel a strong pull to make it happen, and I wonder who else is feeling curious.

If that’s you, message me. Let’s see who wants to gather.

“Go to Auckland,” they said.

Yesterday, 18 October, will stay with me for a long time. Quite possibly forever.

I gathered with some 43 other women, and it felt like coming home to something I know to be true and necessary for myself: intentional, sacred ritual spaces, held with devotion, safety, and reverence for the sisterhood.

It’s hard to put into words how deeply I feel our need to gather. To be seen, witnessed, held, and supported.

Yesterday, I allowed myself to go into full receivership. And receiving can bring up all sorts of tension and resistance in me. But somehow, in that space, I could surrender to it. Let myself be held. Let someone else do the holding.

Hand on heart, the cacao served by Michelle Allen and the words she spoke into that part of the day, opened something in me.

I ugly cried. Snot and tears dripping onto my yoga mat. And for once, I didn’t care.

It was profound. Devastatingly beautiful. And I’m still finding the words.

To every woman who showed up, and to the one man who kept watch around the perimeter: thank you.

There’s a lot I don’t have answers for right now, but I’m noticing what feels like love.

Hands in the soil. The fragrant perfume at dusk. I swear to Gods and Goddesses, the air changes its scent as the sun goes down. It’s my favourite time to be outside. Noticing this…that feels like love.

A neighbour offering me fresh fish, already crumbed. Saying yes without shrinking or feeling obliged to give something back. Just receiving that gift of abundance and nourishment. That feels like love.

Dear soul sisters who let me fall apart and love me regardless. We don’t try to fix each other. We hug. We listen. We share. The mutual love between us right now. Knowing who to turn to, and when. That discernment that comes with age feels like love, too.

A whole day with my phone untouched. Giving myself permission to rest while the messages waited. That felt new. And that felt like love.

I’m learning to receive the care I’m so used to giving. This week has been about letting it in. That feels like love.

I don’t know how you lot are doing, but what’s felt like love in your world lately?

Let’s start a tsunami of these little things. Share yours in the comments. I’d love to hear them. 🤍

Hey you lot 👋🏼 Truth update…the last few weeks have been… a time.

Life. Business. Money. Relationships. Being a human on planet Earth. All of it arriving at once, apparently.

And I’ve been noticing a lot.

Noticing what holds when other things feel wobbly. What I reach for. What brings me back into my body, back into my kitchen, back into a moment of pleasure when life feels anything but pleasurable.

And f**k, I’m grateful for cacao.

Not because I think it’s going to fix my life. It won’t.

But there is something about making a cup, standing there with something warm in my hands and giving myself fifteen minutes to actually be here.

Cacao has been a constant in my life through some pretty enormous chapters. And lately I’ve been feeling particularly grateful that I get to work with it, eat it, drink it, play with it, learn about it and build a business around it.

And I’m grateful for you lot, too.

Running a small business can be a very strange and vulnerable thing. You see a lot of me here. And somehow, after nearly seven years, you’re still here.

So yeah.

Feeling reflective. Feeling grateful. Mostly just noticing a lot right now.

And not once have I thought, damn, I really wish I didn’t have that cacao.

This is me in my element.

Two of my favourite toddlers.
A kitchen.
10 kilos of Solomon Islands dried pineapple.
And a pot of melted cacao paste, sweetened just a little.

Honestly, what more could I want from a Saturday?

This pineapple is incredibly special to me. I’ve had the good fortune of spending time in the Solomon Islands with the women who make it, walking through the jungles where the pineapples grow.

I’ve eaten it fresh there.
I’ve eaten it dried.
I’ve dipped it in cacao.

And I am completely, utterly obsessed with it.

So having 10 kilos of the stuff in my life right now is bringing me an unreasonable amount of joy.

There’s nothing to buy here. I’m not launching anything. I’m not secretly testing a new product.

This is simply me doing one of the things I love most, getting into the kitchen, sharing food with people I love, and playing with beautiful ingredients that I know the story of.

Food that has passed through many hands before reaching mine.

Then adding two toddlers to the production line, because obviously.

Sticky fingers. Chocolate everywhere. Pineapple disappearing faster than we could dip it.

Saturday well spent in Raglan. 🤎
