Mooring owners,

With the forecast showing a cyclonic system approaching this weekend, we wanted to reach out and encourage all boat owners to take a few steps to help protect their vessels and moorings, which I know most of you are great at.

If you haven’t already, it’s a good idea to:

- Check all mooring lines and connections

- Ensure chafe protection is in place and secure

- Double up lines where possible for added security

- Remove or properly secure any loose items on deck

If you’re unable to get to your vessel or would prefer a professional check, we have a few (limited) slots available to carry out a quick check and can make any necessary adjustments to help reduce risk on the 9th and 10th of April.

Stay safe, and don’t hesitate to reach out if we can help.

Assisted a client this afternoon with a tangelation issue after his vessel had drifted at anchor and caught a mooring. An hour or two of reversing the knot, he was back sailing with both of his anchors
Sh*t happens sometimes so contact us if you need a hand getting out of it!
