Hi Team,
This week we have a new video showcasing some 3d Scanning work. The video shows the actual 3D Pointcloud as you can view it in our standalone viewers, or how it would look when inserted into a CAD product.
Remember these PointClouds can be inserted into all modern CAD tools, to scale and accurate.

An excellent video showing how PointClouds can make design around existing plant easier, faster and infinitely more accurate!
This video shows our colleagues at A3D using AutoCAD Plant 3D to run a new Pipeline at a brownfield (existing) site.
A similar process can of course be used in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, Revit, Tekla etc you name it.
We are happy to help with the design work, or have us Scan the plant and use your own team to complete the project.
We have clients sending our 3D Scans to Design Contractors all over NZ, Australia and the world for full Design completion after Scanning.

Easily add our accurate and measurable scans into your CAD Application, or add CAD objects into the Scan! There are no rules, only spectacular results!
"Cut n Clip" the PointCloud to remove walls or objects you no longer want to see. Add in your very own 3D Models, Walls, Equipment, Pipes etc. and create a layout you know will fit perfectly!
Client approval is much easier when the whole team can visualize and see the layout in their own existing site!

Full 3D Pointclouds in CAD! To scale and accurate! Parts of the pointcloud can be clipped away, and replaced with 3D models to show a new design or layout etc.
Scale doesn't matter, we can combine our Drone Pointclouds and images with our Terrestrial Laser Scans to create entire sites, Indoors/Outdoors or even city sized! Below examples are Pointclouds in CAD designs by us!

Heatmap Advantages:
Laser Scanning is highly accurate, so there are many advantages to having complete and accurate data. It can be used as CAD objects, or viewed and analysed by anyone, even with an online viewer for example.
Had a concrete slab poured? Need to know the floor is sloping to the correct locations and sumps before progressing?
A laser scan heatmap can show you exactly where humps/hollows/slumps/slopes are all at an easy glance!
​It doesn't have to even be a floor, walls, building columns etc can all be analysed and displayed with heatmaps!

Industrial Building, Scan for Earthquake Strengthening:
We scanned the complete site, all 6 levels, Roof and inner workings, every nook and cranny of this local famous building for a local Engineer. The Engineer was able to produce a full 3D model of the building from the PointCloud with all beams and columns exactly to size and scale, of what was there, including floor penetrations etc.
The Engineer was able to then use the model in full Engineering Analysis to prove the building could meet the required standards to be used into the future, saving the client millions of dollars in a new site.

Industrial Tanker:
A local Contractor was having a new Pump designed for his tanker, but the manufacturer was in England!
We Scanned his tanker in the area of interest and sent the PointCloud to 'Ol Blighty' in AutoCAD format. The Supplier was able to custom design a new Pump, complete with mounting and required clearances that could be bolted directly to the tanker upon arrival in NZ.
