This weekend Hampton Downs host the Legends of Speed event.
It will be an awesome couple of days, and a very busy one at that.
Myself (Nick) and Co driver Nic will be running our lemons Warbird along with Taylor in his E46 Spec car, in the BMW Race Driver Series 1hr race.
And ol’ mate Scott Pye of V8 Supercars and Apex Hunters United fame will be back behind the wheel of the Richards Team Motorsport Camry.

If you looking for something to do this weekend…. Here it is.
The team will be in garage 11&12, make sure you come say hi.

The Mitchell Family Resilience Trophy.

After 13 ish years of my little girl doing gymnastics, unfortunately she had to retire due to an injury. Like any sport person she had the ups and downs, other injuries and hurdles that slowed progress. But she’s a fighter and always keep punching forward no matter what she had in front of her.

After the retirement. The Wife wanted to leave a special ‘legacy’ so we’ll always be part of that Gym.

And here it is.
A stainless piece of art that any recipient should be proud of, knowing that they endured a sh_t show, and came out the other side.

Was pretty cool to concept this piece up on pen and paper, use some tech to laser cut and then hand form to have what we do.

Mid year update.
Our FB has been very quiet of late… not because the shop is quiet, quite of opposite in fact.
In Feb of this year unfortunately we lost Jacob. After 8 years he decided to move away from race cars and into and different world of ‘pain’….hot rods and classics.
It was a big loss, but we wish him luck.

So since then it’s just been myself (Nick) and Mitch, when he’s in the country. (Been working overseas for 18 months ish).
The ol’ dance card has been chocker since.

So the update…. We have just finished up Ben’s Torana. It came in for a hoist of suspension upgrades, and typical story needed more than we originally planned.
Full new front uprights with spindle stiffener and bearing up grade. Thanks to Endeavour Engineering.
We redesigned the front geo and produced new moly wishbones. Along with adding a MRX adjustable sway bar. Powersteer was also added while cutting up the cross member.
Rear diff was fine, but we added new moly adjustable arms, along with an adjustable watts link.
New Penske shocks were added thanks to
racing depot.
Along with a few other tidy up jobs, like fresh powder from the lads at Boss powdercoating. Car has come up mint as. We look forward to testing soon.

Also carrying on with the BMW theme. We have now starting building headers for the M50-M52-M54 motors. 3 into 1 into 2. 38mm primaries, 51mm secondaries. Suits bolting up to the oem twin exhaust for the road car guys. Price will be confirmed soon. Feel free to get in touch for more info.

Lastly….. we do have an older, on going job which I have kicked back into. But not allowed to share yet…. Dave knows what I’m talking about though.
