Stanley Road, Te Aroha.

We just wanted to let everyone know about a mistake in the recent letter drops.

Unfortunately, some of the letters had the wrong information about road closure times. While a few were correct, others weren’t, and we understand this may have caused some confusion or inconvenience.

We’ve attached the updated letter with the correct closure times for you to refer to.

School buses will still be allowed through the closure and will be safely guided through site when needed.

Thanks for your understanding, and we’re sorry again for any disruption this may have caused. If you’ve got any questions or concerns, feel free to get in touch.

Piako Road will be closed for a few hours around midday on Wednesday.

We’ve got a couple of small adjustments to make where the old seal meets the new seal to further refine the surface.

Closing the road allows us to complete the work efficiently, minimise time on site, and deliver a smoother result for road users.

Thanks for your patience while we wrap this up.

JC Civil is looking for an experienced STMS to join our team. We’re a civil contractor with around 30 people in our team. We deliver drainage projects, footpath renewals, and general civil works for councils and developers. We run organised sites, we take safety seriously, and we value people who take ownership of their work. This role will suit someone who is confident working largely sole charge and comfortable leading traffic management across multiple sites.

You will be responsible for:
* Setting up, maintaining and closing out traffic management sites
* Leading traffic crews on-site
* Ensuring compliance with CoPTTM and local authority requirements
*Liaising with supervisors, clients and the public
* Maintaining safe, efficient worksites in live traffic environments
* You’ll be trusted to run your sites professionally and represent JC Civil to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For
* Current STMS qualification (Practicing minimum – Cat A/B preferred)
* Proven experience in civil construction traffic management
* Strong knowledge of CoPTTM and council requirements
* Confident working independently and making sound decisions
* Clear communicator and capable leader
* Class 1 licence minimum (Class 2 advantageous)
* Reliable, safety-focused, and well organised

What We Offer
* Permanent, full-time position
* Competitive pay based on experience
* Steady pipeline of council and developer work
* Supportive supervisors and experienced crews
* Daily pre-starts and toolbox talks — safety is non-negotiable

If you take pride in tidy, compliant traffic management and want long-term stability with a solid crew, we’d like to hear from you. Please send your CV to [email protected]

Our thoughts go to everyone around Otorohanga dealing with the damage from the recent weather. Slips, mud and blocked roads have made it a rough few days for a lot of people.

Huge thanks to our crew who gave up their weekend to get out there and clear access where they could. Just saw it needed doing and got stuck in.

Special mention to our Boss man, Johnny for keeping things moving and holding it all together.

We’ll keep helping where we can. That’s what communities are for.
