When Jacob Knowles says his electronics setup will give his new boat “super powers” and it includes WASSP… we’ll take that 🚤💥

Great to see WASSP heading onboard the new boat of one of Maine’s most well-known fisherman as the install gets underway. With real-time 3D seabed mapping and water column visibility, Jacob is about to get a whole new view beneath the surface.

Ghost gear is one of the biggest environmental and operational challenges facing commercial fishing today.

From lost nets and ropes to snagged gear and unnecessary fuel burn, better seabed awareness can make a real difference. Discover how WASSP multibeam technology is helping operators identify hazards, recover lost gear, reduce fuel usage, and support more sustainable fishing operations.

Ghost gear - the term used for lost or abandoned fishing nets, ropes, pots, and lines - has become a growing issue across the global marine environment. Lost gear can continue trapping marine life long after it has been abandoned, damage sensitive habitats, create navigation hazards, and contribute....

Another great display of WASSP and hopefully everyone has a fantastic show at the Atlantic Fair 2026 which is currently running at KlaksvĂk, the fishing capital of the Faroe Islands.
The teams at Radiobudin and MP Teknik have done all the work to get set up and make the show another good one.
As always, a big thanks to the Danmark A/S for their support in the region.

Wassp head office might be in for a rough time with Cyclone Vaianu heading straight for us here in New Zealand.
It's a reminder that storms like this can dramatically alter the seabed below the surface. Powerful wave action and currents can shift sediment, expose buried features, and create new hazards in a matter of hours.
Good thing we have Wassp to do the 3D mapping and find out whats changed.
