Green Roofs & Living Walls Forum / Prague 2026

On September 8, our colleague, Ing. Petr Káfoněk, joined the Green Roofs & Living Walls Forum 2026 in Prague (FÓRUM ZELENÝCH STŘECH A FASÁD / PRAHA 2026), representing Nophadrain.

The international conference brought together experts and professionals from across the green roof and living wall sector to exchange knowledge, share best practices and explore innovative solutions for more sustainable and climate-resilient cities.

One of the key themes of Petr’s contribution was the role that water retention roof (in combination with green) can play in managing rainwater, supporting vegetation and improving the urban climate. Solutions that make better use of our roofs can help cities adapt to increasing challenges such as heavy rainfall and urban heat.

Normally, we’re all about green on top.
But on April 27, we say: orange on top 🇳🇱

From the iconic Dutch orange tompouce—with its crisp puff pastry, creamy filling, and signature orange icing—to a well-designed green roof, it’s all about how layers come together to create something that works beautifully.

A little cultural note for our international network: the orange tompouce is a true Dutch classic, especially during national celebrations, when everything turns orange in honor of the House of Orange.

And speaking of celebrations—our team (with the exception of Team Germany) will be taking the day off to join in.

We’ll be back the next day, refreshed and ready to put green back where it belongs.🌿🌳

We wish you a wonderful Easter filled with joy and positivity! Please note that our German team will already be out of office on Friday, 3th of April, due to the national holiday (Good Friday). The entire office will enjoy an extra day off on Easter Monday, 6th of April.

Groot Hartje in Eindhoven (NL) impresses with a beautiful 575 m² rooftop garden, featuring a mix of intensive planting and walkable paving.

At Groot Hartje, green and functionality come together: the lush planting and walkable surfaces create a sustainable, vibrant rooftop garden. At the heart of this sustainable rooftop are the ND 5+1 Drainage System and the ND TSF-100 Slip and Protection Sheet.

The project was realized by Du Pré groenprojecten . With such an experienced partner and our reliable system, a successful and sustainable end result is guaranteed.

Atrium Garden at Movement Gym Amersfoort 🌿🌳

For the stunning atrium garden at Movement Gym Amersfoort, we provided our ND 5+1 Drainage System. VIC Landscapes designed and installed this intensive roof garden, where greenery and tranquility take center stage.

To reduce pressure on the rainwater outlets, VIC created additional capacity around the drains using our ND WSE-50lt Water Retention Elements. Thanks to a well-engineered technical foundation, the system remains durable, manageable, and future-proof.

A great example of how design, engineering, and sustainability come together.

Vandaag zijn de eerste rollen van het ND 5+1 Drainagesysteem uitgerold bij het project in de Geusselt, Maastricht. Onze collega’s waren aanwezig om een kijkje te nemen.

Binnenkort gaat Dolmans Landscaping verder met de aanleg van dit intensieve groendak.

Met het uitrollen van het ND Drainagesysteem breng je in één handeling maar liefst 3 lagen aan:
✅ Beschermvlies
✅ Drainagekern (met waterbuffer)
✅ Filtervlies

Een slimme oplossing die veelzijdig in te zetten is en een duurzaam resultaat oplevert!
