Today, 84% of the floors we sell have a third party verified EPD, supporting greater transparency and helping customers make more informed choices.

Regeneration goes beyond reducing impact. It’s about actively restoring and giving back.

Marmoleum is climate positive cradle to gate without offsetting, reducing environmental impact through renewable raw materials and carbon storage within the product itself. From raw material extraction through production, each square meter removes 1.57 kg of CO₂ from the atmosphere (See EPD for more information).

In Australia, we go a step further.

Since 2019, Forbo Flooring Australia has partnered with Regenerate Australia to support ecosystem restoration and biodiversity projects across the country.

Every Marmoleum project in Australia contributes to this initiative, helping support the planting, monitoring and regeneration of degraded land through native trees and climate-resilient habitats. In 2025 alone, this resulted in the planting of 26,713 native trees.

Together, we connect material innovation with meaningful local environmental action and regeneration beyond the floor itself.

✨ How is Sphera made? Part 2

Once the vinyl sheet is formed, performance is built into the surface. A special lacquer is applied, embossed with texture and cured using UV light to create a durable finish designed for everyday use.

After a careful relaxation process and quality inspection, Sphera is ready to perform in demanding environments.

The result is a homogeneous vinyl floor that combines durability, easy maintenance and design freedom.

✨ How is Sphera made? Part 1

Every Sphera floor starts with carefully selected raw materials. PVC dry blend and colour pigments are precisely mixed to create vinyl granules, with each shape influencing the final visual effect.

From subtle textures to vibrant highlights, every detail contributes to the finished design. The granules are then fused together under high temperature to form a strong and consistent 2 mm vinyl sheet.

This is where the foundation of Sphera begins.

🌟 A major milestone for Forbo Flooring Systems in North America 🌟

This week, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of our new Flotex production facility in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Forbo’s first North American satellite plant.

With the first orders already rolling off the production line, this new facility strengthens our ability to support customers across the US and Canada with faster delivery times, enhanced service levels and advanced design capabilities for our high performance Flotex flooring solutions.

Hazleton has been home to Forbo’s North American headquarters since 1989, while our global history dates back to 1899 with the production of linoleum in the Netherlands. Over the years, Forbo has grown into a global flooring manufacturer with solutions spanning vinyl, textile and entrance flooring.

We’re excited to begin this new chapter together with our dedicated team in Hazleton and colleagues across North America.
