At SMM Hamburg last week, Yanmar brought together teams from Yanmar Power Technology in Japan and from YANMAR Europe at the Japan Pavilion.

Visitors explored Yanmar's alternative-fuel capabilities, including Dual Fuel, LNG and Methanol, for both ocean-going and inland maritime applications.

The stand became a meeting point for Yanmar's European distributor network, customers, and the Japan-based product team, offering an opportunity to discuss technical questions and upcoming projects directly with the team behind them.

Thank you to everyone who staffed the stand and made the week run smoothly, from both sides of the world.

From the football pitch to the factory floor.

Cerezo Osaka's U17 squad visited YANMAR Europe in Almere to discover a very different side of Yanmar.

At our engine facility, the players got an introduction to Yanmar's engine technology, with our colleagues demonstrating how the engines work and explaining some of the engineering behind them.

A different environment, but one that also calls for teamwork, focus and precision.

The visit brought together two sides of Yanmar: our engineering heritage and our long-standing connection with football through Cerezo Osaka.

One day, two very different sides of the Yanmar world.

Four editions. Four continents. One partnership.

Yanmar's involvement with the America's Cup began in 2013 as Official Technical Partner to Oracle Team USA in San Francisco. It continued through Bermuda, New Zealand and Barcelona, each edition pushing further into foiling, hydrodynamics, lightweight materials and energy management.

That partnership now enters its next chapter. Yanmar has been confirmed as Official Sponsor and Official Marine Sports Sponsor of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup, taking place in Naples in 2027.

The fit runs deeper than sponsorship. The Cup's questions, weight, efficiency, and emissions are the same questions Yanmar works on daily, from lower-emission combustion to hydrogen fuel cell and electric propulsion technology. That is Yanmar's purpose in practice: "A Sustainable Future - New Value Through Technology."

Last Sunday, 22 colleagues from YANMAR Europe and YANMAR Marine International B.V. swapped the workplace for the football pitch at the J-Dream Cup in Amstelveen, the Netherlands.

The annual tournament brought together 24 teams from Japanese-origin companies, with Yanmar represented by two teams: Cerezo Yanmar in pink and Sakura Yanmar in white.

Despite a rainy start, both teams put in a strong performance. Sakura Yanmar scored five goals during the tournament, while Cerezo Yanmar topped their group with eight.

Cerezo Yanmar reached the final, where Team Umios took a narrow 1–0 victory.

A well-earned second place and, above all, a great day of football and team spirit.

From 1 to 4 September, Yanmar will be at SMM 2026 in Hamburg, bringing together expertise from Yanmar globally and Yanmar Europe to showcase our commercial marine engines and propulsion solutions.

The future of fishing vessels won't be built around a single fuel.

At Nor-Fishing 2026 in Trondheim, YANMAR Europe joined Yanmar Norway and Maritim Motor AS to discuss technologies shaping the future of vessel operations.

A key focus was Yanmar's future multifuel approach, including hydrogen, methanol and LNG. There is unlikely to be a one-size-fits-all solution for every fishing fleet. The right pathway will depend on vessel operation, region and available infrastructure.

The stand also highlighted the VC30, Yanmar's third-generation vessel control system, designed to simplify engine control and onboard monitoring through a single interface.

But ultimately, exhibitions like Nor-Fishing aren't just about what we present. They're about listening to the people who operate these vessels every day, understanding the challenges they face, and discussing what they need next.

YANMAR Europe and Almere City FC present the first edition of the Yanmar Hanasaka International Youth Cup at Yanmar Stadion this weekend, on 15 and 16 August.

Hanasaka reflects Yanmar's philosophy of nurturing human potential. It's the shared vision behind this tournament, brought to life together with Almere City FC.

Ten U19 teams compete over the two days: Almere City FC, Cerezo Osaka, KRC Genk, ADO Den Haag, AZ Alkmaar, Sparta Rotterdam, FC Groningen, Cambuur Leeuwarden, FC Volendam and FC Twente / Heracles Academie. Pool matches are held on the fields around the stadium, building up to Sunday's final at Yanmar Stadion.

The tournament opens on Saturday at 10:30 with Almere City FC U19 versus Cerezo Osaka U19. Entry is free.

Three months from project start to a live, unified sales platform. That is the YANMAR Europe story we shared at SAP Connect Day for Customer Experience in Utrecht.

Presented by Dhruv Saxena, the session brought a real-world implementation to a room of CX leaders and practitioners. No theory, just what it takes to move from fragmented customer data to a 360° view across the business.

The challenge Yanmar solved is one many organisations recognise: sales teams working in different ways, customer data spread across departments, and commercial opportunities lost in the gaps. Working with implementation partner Aiden, Yanmar deployed SAP Customer Experience solutions on top of its existing SAP Cloud ERP and was live in three months.

Being part of an event alongside SAP CX made it a session worth being in the room for.

Last Sunday, June 28th, YANMAR Europe was back at the Japan Festival in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Japanese roots, Japanese festival and of course, we were there.

Now in its 2026 edition, the festival is one of the Netherlands' largest Japanese cultural events, attracting more than 10,000 visitors each year. Food, performance, workshops, tradition, and a genuine connection to a community that matters to us.

We brought plenty to the day: a photo booth, a football game, and a Yanmar tractor on display. An online quiz rounded it off, with an official Cerezo Osaka shirt as the prize, and yes, it was popular.

Ally, the mascot of Almere City FC , which is now part of the Yanmar family, was also on hand and quickly became a favourite with younger visitors.

Since 2012, RAMS has been growing alongside YANMAR Europe in the French market. This June, that partnership reached a new milestone.

RAMS - Rhône Alpes Moteurs Service opened its new headquarters: an expanded facility combining offices, warehouse, workshop and training centre, plus a dedicated hydrogen test facility, a first for the network.

The investment will significantly increase Yanmar engine and parts stock levels in France, enabling faster service for the dealer network and local customers. The larger workshop and training facility will also strengthen technical support across the territory.

The opening was marked with speeches from Laurent Goyffon and Rainier Wissmans, followed by guided tours of the new site, and an afternoon of networking with partners and the wider Yanmar community.

Fourteen years of collaboration, and a facility built for the next phase of growth.
