Twenty years is a long time in precision manufacturing. Sustained performance across that span is rarer. Yanmar Europe has named TAUMAT S.r.l. as Supplier of the Year 2025.

Based in central Italy, TAUMAT is a family-owned business specialising in high-precision machined components and complex assembly work for industrial and marine engine applications.

The recognition reflects more than two decades of consistent delivery. TAUMAT supports both Yanmar's marine engine operations in the Netherlands and construction equipment activities in France.

Yanmar Europe evaluates its top suppliers annually across five criteria: quality, cost, delivery, technical expertise, and management performance. The highest-ranked partner receives this award.

Last week, we joined Seafood Expo Global / Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona. Three days filled with valuable conversations, reconnecting with partners and meeting new faces across the industry. A strong event that continues to bring the right people together and highlights the value of face-to-face meetings.

Logistics operations depend on structure, discipline, and teamwork, the same skills that shape a strong career start.

Since 2015, our warehouse in Almere has offered students from Pro Almere (ASG Almere), the chance to build exactly those skills. Each day, six to eight students work alongside our warehouse team under the guidance of their school coaches.

Last month, we marked a new step in this partnership: the opening of the relocated Repack Department within our expanded Almere Yanmar warehouse. The new workspace was designed with direct input from students and their supervisors, including the addition of windows for natural daylight and improvements to on-site facilities. Workstations are arranged to keep students in visual contact with YANMAR Europe colleagues.

Partnerships like this one reflect how we think about long-term contribution: not as a separate programme, but as part of how our operations are run day to day.

Last Thursday, we officially opened the expanded European Parts Centre in Almere, adding 1,400 square meters of capacity and increasing our total footprint to 7,400 square meters, serving Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This is more than an expansion.

It is a focused investment in the availability, speed, and reliability that our customers and OEM partners rely on: faster fulfilment and increased delivery confidence at the scale our network demands.

Behind every machine operating at full uptime is a supply chain that performs without compromise. This facility is built to deliver exactly that.

Meet LEINEBRIS: the newest addition to the Norwegian fishing fleet.

Delivered by Tersan Shipyard and powered by Yanmar, she is now working the Norwegian coast and open waters beyond.

Fishing vessels operate in some of the toughest conditions at sea. Reliability is not optional: it is the baseline.

We are officially live with SAP Sales Cloud at YANMAR Europe!

By focusing on an MVP approach, we delivered a project that was: ✅ On time ✅ Within budget ✅ Built for scale.

This project brought together Sales, Service, and IT to unify our insights and create a seamless 360° view of our customers. It wasn’t just about a new tool: it was about creating one shared digital language for our entire organisation.

Huge thanks to our partners at Aiden and the team at Yanmar for proving that "high expectations + tight deadlines" is a winning formula when everyone is moving in the same direction.

YANMAR Europe is proud to support this local initiative with a €5,000 donation.

At a time when living costs continue to rise, initiatives like these make a tangible difference not in theory, but in everyday life.

While many of us open our fridge without a second thought, that reality is very different for others.

In Almere, around 1,300 people, including 450 children, rely on Voedselbank Almere every week to put healthy food on the table.

Voedselbank Almere provides temporary food assistance to households facing financial hardship. The organisation is entirely run by volunteers, driven by a simple but powerful mission: “Oog voor voedsel, hart voor mensen” - Eyes for food, heart for people.

This local initiative embodies a wider belief shared across Yanmar worldwide: businesses have a role beyond just products and performance, contributing to the communities where they operate.
