How would you sleep at night knowing that 20 people lost their life because of you?

It's your duty as a professional to educate your clients about the standard way of how a job is to be done and if they refuse, you then Walk away.

The funny thing is, if you decide to follow standard some quacks who call themselves Professional will come under your post to say you're wasting money
They always have a cheaper way to do it.

If action is not taken, people will keep dying.
Please when people Lives are involved, there's no cheaper way to do it
You just have to do it the right (Professional) way

An on going construction work suddenly collapse early hours of today

1. Cause of the Collapse will always remain Professionals are too expensive there is this guy that will do it cheaper

2. Client want to compromise standard, because they found a cheaper way to do it

3. Stubbornness from the part of the client, they always say " Is it your house, if you are not ready to do it get out of my property "
Most a times they make this statement to the professional handling their site

4. Substandard Materials

5. Quacks have taken over the building industry because even some plumbers, bricklayers, Iron Bender are now referring to themselves as Engineers

Always Remember cheap is Expensive
The cost this client was running away from, he will spend double now

Alot of times most people just want to cut cost without looking at the long time effect
Simply because someone can do it cheaper doesn't mean he is better and more affordable than the next professional
Cheap is expensive

Look at this building below, if the client had went for what he knows he could Afford to build, this won't have happened
He was trying to save cost so that he would have money to finish the building

My advice is if what you want to build is 5 bedroom duplex but what you have at hand can only build 3 bedroom bungalow, I will advise you go for the 3 bedroom bungalow
Trying to build 5 bedroom duplex would make you start cutting corners, you will start looking for who can do it cheaper and end up engaging Quacks

Secondly, Foundation is not a place to save cost
If any of my clients is trying to save cost on the foundation, I always walk away because tomorrow if the building fall and kill all his family member
I won't find it funny, he will tell the whole world how I am a quack and how I ended up killing all his love ones

If you're trying to build something like this building below, be Ready to spend
Always go for soil test, engage a professional
Seek for advice on the right foundation that will be able to hold the building

And before embarking on any building project, please always know the cost implications first

You will be shocked to find out that the difference between the Professional that was laid off and the quack that handled this building is 50,000 Naira
