For us at Winsome Waste Management and Recyclers, recycling isn’t just about the money — it’s about creating a lasting impact in our environment.
In 2016, I began a voluntary cleaning campaign across Bayelsa State — from street to street, market to market, state entrance to major public areas. This wasn't funded by anyone; it was driven by a pure desire to make a difference.
By 2017, I founded Winsome Waste Management and Recyclers, where I began raising public awareness about the dangers of indiscriminate waste disposal. I introduced the concept that waste has value — and that if properly collected and managed, it could change lives. I went further to encourage parents to bring recyclable items, showing them how these materials could pay school fees and return dropouts back to the classroom. Though the idea sounded strange to many, I knew it was revolutionary.
In 2018, I experimented with making interlocking stones from plastic waste— and the result was astounding! They were stronger and more durable than conventional concrete stones.
In 2024, I took it a step further, undergoing training on how to convert waste into biogas, and how to build modern septic tanks that treat and recycle water for useful purposes.
Still not stopping, I dived into learning how to convert food and animal waste into high-quality agricultural manure — solutions that are sustainable and eco-friendly.
Today, a new mission is burning in my heart — and by God’s grace, I will pursue it with even greater passion. My generation must know me for impact creation, not noise.
It is my dream that one day, Winsome Waste Management and Recycling Services Ltd. will be producing interlocking stones, plastic products, biogas, organic fertilizers, and much more — right here in Bayelsa, Nigeria.
With every year I spend in this industry, my passion grows deeper. Even with the enormous challenges of funding, I remain undeterred. Winsome is optimistic. We believe these dreams will become reality — not someday, but soon.
I believe God sees the purity of my intentions, and continues to strengthen me from within. This mission isn’t about physical power, gender, or background, it’s about purpose, and destiny.
One day, I will make Governor Douye Diri Douye Diri the proudest governor in the world, and I will prove that a woman can become anything she sets her heart to achieve.
This is my path, says the Lord.
