THE SUBLIME
THE SECRET PSYCHOLOGY OF THE 1%
(Why the Learning Curve Determines the Earning Curve)
Have you ever pondered why most individuals or businesses experience failure? In fact, according to the Nigeria Labour Bureau of Statistics, a staggering 80% of businesses in Nigeria cease operations within the first five years.
80% of what?
Recently, I observed Nigerian educated lecturers (professors) participating in a strike, holding placards that read:
"Is that how to pay us back after many years of teaching you?"
Are our entrepreneurs or professors
intellectually deficient? Not at all. Are they lacking in certifications? Far from it.
Then what could be the underlying issue?
Albert Einstein once stated, "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking that it's a fool." (Everyone possesses a unique genius).
Let's delve deeper.
A secret is what is known or meant to be known or seen, yet remains exclusive to those intended to possess such knowledge.
Why?
Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, particularly those influencing behavior in a given context.
We are often led to believe that the purpose of learning, be it reading, listening, or writing, is acquiring knowledge, right? None of those is the primary purpose of learning.
The purpose of learning is mastering.
Mastering is the ability to execute tasks effortlessly without relying on conscious resources.
Mastering is rooted in the "be, do, have" concept, which posits that our actions are a direct result of our being. Our possessions are a direct result of our actions. We have been misled into prioritizing the acquisition of material possessions, such as expensive cars, houses, and vacations to Paris, but there is a reason why we are referred to as "human beings" rather than "human havings." When we master a skill, we are not just individuals performing tasks, but rather individuals who have become synonymous with those tasks. We have become the embodiment of our mastery.
Learning is the master key to earning
We have to master the principles of earning in our field..
Everything that truly matters in life must be built. Refrain from expediting the process.
Be more, do more, have more.
