šØ CONTROVERSIAL OPINION:
If youāre laying 60x120 wall tiles on a dry wall without proper surface preparation, you may be creating problems for the future.
Many installers focus on the tiles and adhesive but ignore the condition of the wall itself. When a highly absorbent wall pulls moisture too quickly from the adhesive, it can affect the bonding process and compromise the installation.
Large-format tiles are heavy, expensive, and demand proper workmanship. Skipping important preparation steps to save a few minutes on site can lead to costly repairs later.
GOOD TILES DESERVE GOOD INSTALLATION.
š¬ What do you think? Should wall preparation be a non-negotiable step before laying large-format tiles?
