Sheet Pile
There is several method to install sheet pile. Which method to adopted all depends on site and soil conditions. i) Normal vibrating method
This considered best practice for sheet pile installation either in term of time or cost. By using our Vibro Excvavator PC400 -5 fitted with PCF330 Hydraulic Vibro Hammer can handle 400mm to 750mm width sheet pile uo to 16m long with soil bearing
less than 30 (N-Value). ii) Water Jetting + Vibrating System
In dense granular, or stiff cohesive soils 'Water Jetting' techniques are used to assist pile driving. This system primarily used to enable pile installation with vibrating into ground conditions that otherwise would be unsuitable due to either dence sands/gravels or stiff clays. Water jetting is carried out via a high-strength steel jetting lance pipe attached to the inside of the sheet pile. The jet is operated at low pressures in the initial stages of the installation. The jet is operated continuously throughout the installation to maintain a clear jet nozzle and the pressure adjusted in response to the ground resistance to enable the optimum penetration of the pile to be achieved. iii) PRE-AUGERING
Pre-augering is carried out in advance of sheet pile installation to loosen the sub soils to enable piles to be driven into ground conditions that might otherwise not be suitable for a sheet pile solution or would require an uneconomically heavy pile section. A nominal 400mm to 600mm diameter auger drive unit attached to our Komatsu PC400-5 MB20 auger motors , the ground is then augured usually to the full pile depth at 600mm centres located at the position of the pile clutches. Typically the intention is to loosen the soil rather than create an empty bore. The auger flights are rotated into the ground one direction and counter-rotated to remove them leaving the sheared soil in place in the ground. A small amount of spoil is created to allow for the volume of the auger flights. This spoil needs to be removed from the pile line in advance of the sheet pile installation. Depths of up to 16.0m can be achieved bu using our PC400-5 fitted with MB50 motor. iv) PRESS SYSTEM
This system adopted when noise and vibration levels generated by conventional vibration & percussive equipment are not acceptable and cannot be tolerated in certain environmentally sensitive areas, such as town and city centres. In sites adjacent to hospitals, and structures housing sensitive computers or similar equipment, there is a growing demand for silent, vibration free, sheet pile installation and extraction. We recognise this and have carried out numerous contracts using silent vibration free techniques. Our series of silent piler capable of installing and extracting FSP sheet pile section in the most environmentally acceptable manner, with no vibration and in almost total silence. The Silent Piler is effective in granular and cohesive soils.
2. Waler & Strut
We provide professional engineering, complete design assistance, budget estimates and installation. We bid both small and large projects in markets. As your Strut contractor, we retain a professional engineer who designs all strut channels and their connections to meet the requirements shown on your contract documents and equipment drawings. We coordinate all load requirements, deflections and specific tolerances which the support system must meet. Your shop drawings will include the seal and signature of a professional engineer (PE).
