Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) is another excellent safety feature commonly found in modern cars, it's designed to make reversing out of parking spaces much safer.

Imagine you're in a crowded parking lot, reversed into a parking space between two large SUVs. When you go to leave, you can't see the traffic moving across the back of your car. RCTA is designed specifically for this common and hazardous situation.

How Does Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) Work?

RCTA uses the same radar sensors of LCA/BSM but activates when you shift into reverse.

These sensors scan a wide area to the left and right behind the car. The sensors detect cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and even pedestrians that are approaching from the sides. If a crossing object is detected, RCTA immediately alerts the driver through:
· Visual Alert: A warning light and message appear on your side mirrors.
· Audible Alert: A series of beeps to grab your attention.
