Smooth forklift operation hinges on proper tyre maintenance. Worn tyres can cause performance and safety issues and damage to the forklift and load.

Despite its importance, tyre maintenance is often overlooked because operators are unsure when tyres need to be replaced.
Look out for the warning signs of the two main types of tyres (solid or pneumatic):

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗲𝘀 - Check if the top of the tyre has reached the wear line, and check for cracks, tears, flat spots, and chunks of rubber that may have come off.

𝗣𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗲𝘀 - Ensure tyres are not over or under-inflated. Check for cuts like visible or frayed cord piles, flat spots, and general wear.

Extend the life and performance of your electric forklift and its battery by following these steps:

🔋 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆:
• Allow the forklift battery to fully charge
• Do not let a discharged battery sit for too long
• Do not discharge a battery beyond 80% of its capacity
