One time, I was training in Cerdanyola, Catalunya with the and the professor , and they showed us a move using the famous “La Garrita Grip.”
When I asked where it came from, they said it was taught to them by Alexis Torres.
I was blown away—I’d traveled halfway across the world only to learn a technique from a Mexican athlete.
Proof that talent and legacy travel far.

Cuando pregunté de dónde venía, me dijeron que se las enseñó Alexis Torres.
Me sorprendió muchísimo—viajé al otro lado del mundo para aprender una técnica de un atleta mexicano.
Una prueba más de que el talento y el legado no tienen fronteras.
