TIRE INNER LINER LASER CLEANING

As a "green" cleaning process, laser cleaning technology has a good application in the production and manufacturing of silent tires. It uses a focused high-energy laser beam to irradiate the surface of organic polymer materials, causing physical and chemical changes on the surface of the material, thereby changing its properties. It can effectively improve the tire quality and production process, enhance the matching between the tire and the car body, and improve the overall performance of the vehicle. By coating the inner liner of the tire with a soft solid gel-like polymer composite material, it achieves explosion-proof, puncture-proof and leak-proof functions. At the same time, a layer of polyurethane sponge is pasted on the surface of the anti-leakage glue to achieve sound insulation, absorb cavity noise, and achieve a mute effect.

Laser cleaning can effectively remove the remaining release agent on the inner liner of the tire and improve the adhesion of the composite coating and polyurethane sponge. The cleaning process does not require consumables, will not cause damage to the tires, is highly efficient, has good consistency, and can achieve automated cleaning.

Evaluate samples by selecting pulsed laser equipment and developing a sound process flow. Surface tension values under different parameters were obtained through dyne pen testing. The results show that different process parameters (laser energy density, processing efficiency) will affect the surface tension of the tire inner liner. Therefore, it is necessary to develop reasonable process parameters for the production process of silent tires. After testing, laser cleaning is uniform and meets the requirements for substrate damage. After cleaning, the internal friction coefficient increases to >37mN/m, and the surface tension reaches 40dyne/cm.

Use a roughness meter to test the surface after laser treatment,laser treatment greatly increases surface roughness.

Observed under a magnification of 1000 times, it was found that a large number of small concave blocks were widely distributed in the laser irradiation area, and the particle size reached the micron level. When the laser irradiates the surface of the material, it will destroy the rubber chain structure, produce this irregular concave feature, and increase the surface roughness.

Using laser cleaning to clean the inner liner of the tire requires no consumables, no damage to the tire, fast cleaning speed, and good quality consistency. It can realize automatic cleaning and does not require traditional polishing for subsequent chip cleaning operations and subsequent air blowing wet cleaning and drying operations. Laser cleaning has no pollutant emissions and is ready to use, providing high-quality preparation for the subsequent bonding of silent tires, self-repairing tires, and self-testing tires.

SDQY Pulsed laser cleaning machine (Gaussian & Top hat) parameter meaning:
Laser Power: Refers to the power output by the laser, in percentage, with the lowest adjustable
power being 10% and the highest adjustable power being 100%. When other parameters remain
unchanged, the greater the laser power, the higher the output laser intensity. The higher the
laser intensity, the easier it is to remove dirt, or the higher the cleaning efficiency; on the other
hand, too high a laser intensity will result in over-cleaning, causing damage to the substrate. Repeat Frequency: The pulse laser emits light in the form shown in the figure below. It emits light
one by one. Each time the light is emitted from 0 to peak power, and then from peak power to 0. The repetition frequency is the number of lasers emitted per unit time (1 second). The higher the
repetition frequency, the more lasers are emitted per unit time. The laser power that the laser
can emit per unit time is constant, so the energy of each laser pulse is small on average, the peak
power of each laser pulse is small, and the impact force of the laser pulse is weak. The stronger
the impact force of the laser pulse, the better the ability to remove dirt. Similarly, too strong an
impact force can easily damage the substrate.
Pulse Width: As with the light output of the pulsed laser above, each laser pulse is calculated
from half of the peak power. The half-power time from power rise to power drop is the pulse
width of the laser pulse. As can be seen from the figure, the larger the pulse width, the larger the
area of the entire pulse, that is, the greater the energy of this pulse. Greater pulse energy means
stronger impact force, and better ability to remove dirt. Similarly, too strong impact force will
damage the substrate. Scan Pattern:The laser output by the laser source is a light spot. The swinging motor inside the
laser gun head drives the reflector to swing, so that the laser output by the laser becomes a
pattern. A single motor produces a straight line, and two motors produce a two-dimensional
pattern. Different patterns are suitable for different work scenarios. Scanning Speed: That is the swing speed of the motor. The faster the motor swings, the faster the
laser spot moves, and the faster the cleaning speed. A faster scanning speed is often combined
with a higher laser power. Too fast a scanning speed means that the light spot stays at a certain
position for too short a time, which may result in the dirt not being removed, thus affecting the
cleaning effect. At this time, you can increase the laser power, or reduce the repetition frequency, or increase the pulse width, all of which aim to enhance the single pulse energy.
Scan Spacing: This parameter is only valid for 2D patterns. The scanning spacing affects the speed
of scanning the entire 2D patterns. 2D patterns are obtained by repeating simple patterns in a
certain direction. The scanning spacing is the spacing between simple patterns. If the spacing is
small, the scanning speed of the entire 2D patterns will be slow and the cleaning efficiency will be
low. If the spacing is too large, there will be areas in the entire 2D area that are not cleaned. This
parameter needs to be adjusted according to the actual application effect. Scan Length: The length of straight line, the length of rectangle, the diameter of circle, etc. Scan Width: Invalid for straight lines, rectangle width, circle inner circle diameter,etc
