Meet the Developer: Patrick Fonck and his Ultimate JJ Build! 🇳🇱
Coming to us straight from the Netherlands, we are stoked to showcase these incredible shots from one of our team drivers and DMD Engineering product developers, Patrick!
Based in Rosmalen and working as a bicycle mechanic and teacher, Patrick brings serious mechanical expertise and a lifelong passion for RC to the track. He races everything from mini-crawlers to 1/8 eBuggy on the astroturf at MAC Vlijmen, but his heart is in the vintage scene.
His RC Philosophy: Reliability First
A rough experience with his very first RC car years ago forged his golden rule: a car must be reliable above all else, the rest is secondary. That’s why he is a massive advocate for Kyosho re-releases, which perfectly blend vintage styling with modern reliability and premium Japanese engineering.
The Weapon of Choice: Kyosho Ultima JJ
Patrick’s absolute favorite chassis is his Ultima JJ, completely dialed in with the DMD Engineering upgrades that he personally helped us develop and test. He puts our carbon parts to the ultimate test by running his JJ in the modern 2WD open class at his club, consistently battling it out mid-pack against modern buggies!
