🚀 Big news from Barcelona. Last Thursday, the PYRAH2 Project consortium officially kicked off a new European innovation project – funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership – addressing Europe’s urgent need for affordable renewable hydrogen and sustainable carbon products.

PYRAH2 brings together 12 partners from Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Italy, Luxembourg, and France, covering the full value chain from advanced gasification and bioprocesses to plasma technologies and industrial end-users.

The project will convert biogenic and non-recyclable waste into high-purity hydrogen and solid carbon through a 4-step integrated process:
🔥 Autothermal gasification and syngas conditioning
🦠 Syngas biomethanation
🌱 CO₂ separation
⚡ Plasma-assisted methane pyrolysis

Over the next 48 months, the consortium will design, build, and operate a demonstration plant to support Europe’s energy sovereignty, reduce landfill waste, and enable high-value carbon applications in sectors such as tyres and steel.

⚙️AristEng Sarl will lead the process design and the pilot development.

Stay tuned to learn more about our progress on the topic!

🎖️ A landmark achievement was made yesterday!

AristEng just accomplished its first oversea project! Our directors were assigned the technical evaluation of emerging electrified processes for CO2 valorization being developed in the labs of University of California, Berkeley.

New challenges just raised at the West Coast of the USA!

✅ We had our 4th ELECTRO EU Project GA meeting in Thessaloniki, marking that we are now halfway the project.

💪 Up to now, the project has been very successfull and more achievements are still expected for the second part of the project.

🌍 ⚡ 🔌 We are very happy to see that our vision towards developing a sustainable electrified process for plastic recycling and valorization to ethylene is gradually turning into reality!

💎 HYPER Project Consortium gathered at the SINTEF office in Brussels for an inspiring and productive meeting! We were able to discuss our progress, upcoming milestones, and explore opportunities for the business development of the project’s results!

✨ Looking forward to meeting you all again in May to discuss our progress on electrified H₂O₂ production !!!

✅ The 6th consortium meeting of SIMPLI-DEMO - Demonstration of Sonication and Microwave Processing was hosted in Edinburgh by our partners from the Heriot-Watt University.

💪 We were able to look back on a successful first half of the project, achieving the design of models for process operation in our four use cases as well as plant-building blocks (COBR and REX) that were adapted for the actuation of microwaves and ultrasounds.

👏 We were also delighted to welcome the members of the project’s own Industrial Stakeholder Panel (ISP) for the first time, from which we got really encouraging feedback!

📌 The 2nd consortium meeting of FUEL-UP Project took place at SINTEF's premises in Trondheim. It was really nice to meet all together and discuss on the progress made so far.

⭐️Our consortium aims at co-producing low-cost sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and marine fuels from 100% biogenic feedstock through pyrolysis. We enthusiastically discussed the project research progress after 9 months of activities, presented our future plans and got the great opportunity to visit SINTEF Ocean Maritime Energy Systems Laboratory and SINTEF Industry Tiller Lab.

⚙️We were thrilled to have the opportunity to present the progress of our work on designing auxiliary processes to convert the side streams into valuable products.

❗️Building Europe's first large scale waste-to-hydrogen plant ❗️

🔔During the 4-year project HYIELD project, innovative technologies and processes will be integrated to convert biogenic waste streams efficiently and robustly into high purity green hydrogen.

🔜 Our pilot unit will be at CEMEX’s cement factory in Alcanar, Spain will be commissioned early 2026 and demonstrated the year after!

💪We are so excited to be part of this terrific consortium!

💡 FUEL-UP project objectives and ambitions:

🌿 Demonstrating the simultaneous production of renewable sustainable aviation fuels and marine fuels from 100% biogenic waste.

📑 Paving the way to EU certification by valuating the compatibility of marine diesel biofuel with existing shipping engines as well as by performing aviation engine tests

🔦 Accelerating technologies upscaling with process engineering and techno-economic analysis as well as improving cost-competitiveness to ensure the widespread adoption of advanced biofuels in the aviation and marine industries

💧 Achieving up to 80% reduction in GHG emissions compared to fossil fuels and 47% reduction compared to the state-of-the-art advanced biofuels.

🌍 Assessing sustainability performance of the value chain with by-product valorisation
