HISTORY OF INDUSTRY
The decade-plus of civil war did not only destroy lives, but massively brought to knees the infrastructures and roads across the country. The level of destruction sustained during the war cannot be serviced any time soon, but as is obvious of any developing country, especially one like Liberia that has seen protracted period of civil wars and civil instability, the focus of eve
ryone remains to rebuild the ruins. As a result of the unwavering and expressed desire of Liberians to rebuild, national government has created fluid international policies, by which it has obtained lavished favor from the West. With support of the international community, especially the United States of America through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) which has given over US$6 Million to reform processes, infrastructure development and roads construction, in all respects of the society continue to show convincing reasons the country is making rapid progress en route to recovery. Even though every aspect of the Liberian society continues to see either gradual or rapid development thereby expanding opportunities for professional and non professional citizens, infrastructural and (all forms) land development practitioners have never experienced such hope of an enterprising career future as now. CURRENT PLAYERS
Though national reforms have enlivened the entire construction sector, making close to 25% of local Liberian investors now going into real estate, and up to 30% of small foreign investors like the Lebanese, Fulani, Nigerians, Ghanaians, and others have realized the potential of the sector. Low cost of land seems to be gingering the already high prospect being experienced. OVERVIEW OF LIBERIA’S SURVEYING INDUSTRY
As of 2014, there were only 70 registered land surveyors in Liberia serving a population of 3.5 million people, according to the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy, most of whom are above age 60 and lack basic skills in modern survey technology, skills that ESAT Surveying Group abundantly has and lavishly discharges in its line of work. BACKGROUND
ESAT Surveying Group Incorporated was formed in 2012 to provide consultancy and surveying services to the construction industry and associated professions. From its inception, the company has built up a team of highly skilled Surveyors, technical support staff and cadet employees expanding into a diverse range of survey services. The survey industry entertained a new, but experienced, ambitious and enterprising entrant in Emmanuel and Satta, a daring couple who researched and found that though there were still turbulences being observed in the field, but speedy reform processes by national government foretold an impervious future. The many reforming policies and or processes unearthed several niches within the sector. Amongst those niches were timely execution of tasks, ethical reliance, adherence to business law(s) and tax compliance, exhaustion of legal processes/ diligence. STAFF
