Throwback to our inspiring collaboration with MWFellow Delou and Simone on the “STEM Justice for Young Women in Liberia” project. The Society of Women Engineers of Liberia proudly partnered in planning the program, providing professional speakers, and recruiting participants from our STEM mentee network. Together, we engaged over 25 young women from selected high schools and colleges in B**g and Montserrado, introducing them to diverse STEM careers, mentorship, and hands-on activities at the Orange Digital Center Fab Lab. We’re grateful for this impactful partnership and remain committed to advancing STEM education and gender equity in Liberia.

Engineer Bettina shared her inspiring journey as a woman in STEM, incorporating an interactive icebreaker that set the tone for meaningful engagement. A major challenge facing women in STEM in Liberia is the limited availability of visible mentors. SWEL is addressing this gap by amplifying success stories, expanding access, and creating pathways for young women. As we enter 2026, SWEL remains committed to inspiring girls from grade school onward to pursue STEM careers and positively impact society.
