1) Life on Campus:
the EUROPA School of Technology AKU cares for
students and endeavors to provide them with a
healthy environment to live a unique experience. Conferences are organized regularly at the main
theatre (400 seats), on-campus even
ts are
conducted to promote music and arts, a choir (in
formation) is rooted in the philosophy of the
University, a cinema club is operated and a
newsletter is issued twice a year… There is more
to being a student than reading technology,
management or cinema:
we believe that culture is an important factor for
personal development and thrive to meet this with
a number of programs.
2) Amenities
a. Restaurants: three restaurants are open daily
for students and staff: a diner serving American
and Lebanese foods, a pizzeria and a seated
restaurant serving a range of hot meals, salads
and hors d’oeuvres. Sports Centre: the fitness club of AKU is open
till late and provides stare-of-the-art gym
equipment (treadmills, bicycles…), runs regular
classes for aerobics, martial arts and competition
sports. The club provides individual lockers
and showers.
3) B-START
The B-START (Business Support and Training
Activities for a Resourceful Transition) program is
a program dedicated to assist current owners or
starters of micro enterprises to grow and prosper. It aims equally at providing the Lebanese
workforce with training tailored to their needs, and
seeks to support the jobless to enter gainful
employment. B-START is endorsed by AKU giving
students, particularly those majoring in business
studies, the opportunity to take on academic
projects based on real case scenarios.
4) Alma Mater
AKU follows on graduates and delivers continuing
education to previous students at no cost. Every
year training sessions are offered in advanced
areas with the ultimate objective to allow
graduates to keep ahead of market developments. Furthermore, the student Alumni is very active in
keeping the relationship strong between the
University and previous students.
