At Car & General, we believe industrialization starts close to home – we assemble two and three-wheelers right here in Kenya and Tanzania. We also fully support the manufacture of assembly parts. At the same time, in order to protect the backbone of our transport economy – the boda boda industry, we manufacture helmets at Boda Plus Limited in Kenya. This is how we build Africa: by manufacturing, employing, and protecting our people. The assembly plants and helmet manufacturing directly employ 250 people in Kenya and Tanzania, and support millions more in the entire boda boda ecosystem.
