hiroyuki chiba. has released his new CD, Vigaowen.
Since 2024, hiroyuki chiba. has shifted the focus of his work from noise-based expression to live improvisation using the Erica Synths SYNTRX. Vigaowen is a document of this new phase in his musical exploration.
Focusing on fragile and ever-changing sonic textures, silence, and the expressive power of space itself, the album presents a distinct departure from his previous noise works, revealing a new and immersive sonic landscape.
By embracing the subtle presence that exists between sounds and the tension created through silence, each improvisation captures moments that can exist only in the instant they are performed.
