Amayama FAQ #4 - "> 1" Availability
Q: Doesn't "> 1" mean that there's at least one unit in stock? Also I saw that the UAE has 3 units in stock, but when I ordered it, the order was cancelled 1 week later because it was "out of stock". Why did this happen?
A: "> 1" shown in the availability (not "stock") column on a part number details page means that at the last availability check, there was at least 1 unit available. "> 1" is shown when a part is regularly stocked, and is likely to be restocked in the near future. Although Amayama Trading can't show "live updates" for the number of units in stock at the supplier (see: "Amayama FAQ #1 - Availability checks" post below for more information), according to the sales records for that part number it is very likely to be in stock in some quantity. As always, it's never possible to 100% guarantee stock availability under these circumstances, so Amayama Trading very much appreciates our clients' understanding concerning stock availability and the potential for orders to be cancelled despite the likelihood of parts being available on a regular basis.
The suppliers in the UAE provide daily stock availability updates and while this frequency of updates covers most situations, there is still the possibility that orders can be cancelled between availability checks from one day to the next. The UAE is home to regional distributors who supply massive amounts of parts globally, with stock levels fluctuating rapidly throughout the day. As Amayama Trading cannot provide live updates, any figure shown in the "Availability" column on the part number details page will be from the most recent availability check. We understand that this situation is not ideal and we are constantly reviewing all factors to be able to provide a more streamlined and dependable service. Again we very much appreciate our clients' understanding of these matters and continued patronage.
