The Signal of Hope Fund Received a Letter of Appreciation from Ofunato City

The fund received a letter of appreciation from Ofunato City for "its significant contribution to securing the early resumption of catch landing and processing operations and for restoration of related-facilities after the earthquake disaster."

An award ceremony to present the letter was held on February 17th at the Ofunato Plaza Hotel.

Commercial Vehicle donated to Noda Village

A commercial vehicle was donated to the Shimoakka fishery of Noda Village on February 17th. The village expressed its thanks, saying "The tsunami swept away all of the [town's] vehicles. We will put this one to good use."

The Signal of Hope Fund has been awarded the "Ishinomaki Grand Prize-Special Prize"

The fund was awarded the prize by the Ishinomaki Chamber of Commerce for its "tremendous contribution to earthquake disaster-related support of Ishinomaki."
The award ceremony was held on January 5th at the Ishinomaki Grand Hotel.

The Signal of Hope Fund received a "Special Award" from the 5th Ishinomaki Award Ceremony. The grand award and special awards are granted to people and organizations that contributed to the develpment and awareness of the Ishinomaki City.

Kuji City businesses that received supplies and materials have published on their homepage words of thanks to the Signal of Hope Fund.

"The other day, equipment was donated to Kuji City in Iwate Prefecture by the 'Signal of Hope Project'. Equipment was also delivered to this company's Kuji City factory via Kuji City Hall."
