Another amazing photo from the past (those throw away cameras!). But, another cool automobile I had the pleasure of molesting. Also a cool angle, I believe it was taken from the roof.

A few years back, after restoration, pre-completion assembly. There was yet wiring and chassis brake lines to be done (copper hardlines that ran through narrow ports in the chassis tubes).

So, why assemble a car, to then disassemble, and reassemble yet again, later, risking damage, scratches, assembly/witness marks on a fresh restoration?
Because the customer wanted to attend an event with it (static display at the Peterson), before it was entirely finished. 🤷‍♂️

Pictured here with Pierre Brun (co-conspirator at the time) of '60s Morgan racing circles (Baby Dolls). Behind the camera, another indispensable member of the team, Rocky Philipp.

There hasn't been a lot that I can post over the last year+, and now I'm freelancing, so I still can't post much that I'm working on at current.

So, I will post some things I couldn't post from the past years, but now it's been long enough.

A vacuum jig that I designed/programmed and cut, holding parts that I designed/programmed and cut. The parts ended up getting powder coated in various colors, but I always loved how the raw parts looked on the fixture.

Some after and before pics of the gate and door below the transom in the last post. There was a little touch up done in spots after these pics, and a second coat of black on the door, but this is close enough to how it looks finished.

Next iteration of my compression mold tests. Not at the finish on this one, yet, but it will eventually be a good use of all the wasted paper and cardboard we have every week.

Obviously not enough clearance on the positive and negative halves, so the mold broke pulling it apart. Needs more binder in the mash, too. Coloring is weak. Drain holes need to be bigger. However, progress.

3 views of the first prototype print. Positive and negative mold halves, before I added drainage holes.
