The louver predates the air conditioner by roughly 600 years.

In the Middle Ages, angled wooden slats vented smoke and kept rain out. Over time they turned adjustable; some were even shaped from pottery, with smoke curling out through carved faces. By the 20th century, louvers were filtering light in wartime Europe and cutting heat across tropical India. The same idea quietly adapted to every climate it met.

Then glass facades arrived, and the louver got left outside the brief. Buildings got brighter, hotter, and far more dependent on cooling.

Alubreeze picks the idea back up. Roller-coated metal louvers in 30°, 45°, and 90° angles; a second skin that cuts solar heat, manages glare, and lets the building breathe. Six centuries of a good idea, engineered in India.
