The IEEE AP-S & MTT-S KIIT Student Branch Chapters, in collaboration with the School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT (DU), successfully hosted a power-packed IEEE workshop on "Frequency Tunable SIW: Advancing Technology for Multiband Applications" on 3rd February 2025.

The distinguished speaker, Prof. Nrusingha Charan Pradhan (Assistant Professor, Central University of Karnataka & Former DRDO Scientist), delivered an insightful session on Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technology, covering miniaturization techniques, self-diplexing & self-triplexing antennas, and reconfigurable SIW designs. He also acknowledged the pioneering contributions of Prof. Ke Wu and Prof. Maurizio Bozzi in this domain.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Sudhakar Sahu, Prof. J.R. Panda, and Mr. Arunya Paul, followed by a briefing on recent IEEE MTT-S & AP-S projects by Mr. Arunya Paul (Joint Chair, IEEE AP-S & MTT-S KIIT SBC). The session was smoothly anchored by Ms. Srishti Chowdhury, ensuring an engaging experience throughout.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Prof. Pradhan by Prof. Sudhakar Sahu, Prof. J.R. Panda, Mr. Arunya Paul, and Mr. Saurav Kumar Yadav (Vice-Chair, IEEE MTT-S KIIT SBC), followed by closing remarks emphasizing SIW's critical role in RF & microwave advancements.

We are pleased to introduce the inaugural core team of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) Student Branch Chapter at of Electronics Engineering, KIIT DU, W.E.F September 26th, 2024, for the academic year 2024-2025.

This newly established chapter is dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering professional growth in the field of microwave theory and technology. Our core team members bring a high level of expertise, commitment, and enthusiasm, and are poised to lead impactful initiatives that connect academia and industry.

We are pleased to officially announce the formation of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) Student Branch Chapter at KIIT - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar.

The petition for the establishment of this chapter was formally approved on 21st August 2024 by the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Board, marking a significant step forward for the KIIT community. The identification code for the chapter is SBC15681F.

The IEEE MTT-S KIIT Student Branch Chapter aims to promote academic excellence and innovative research in the field of Microwave Theory and Technology. Through collaboration with researchers, students, and industry professionals, this chapter will provide opportunities for growth and knowledge sharing within the KIIT community and beyond.

The petition for this chapter was led by Mr. Arunya Paul, serving as the Interim Chair and Organizer during the formation process, under the advisory of Dr. Sudhakar Sahu, Dr. Jyoti Ranjan Panda and counseling of Dr. Chinmoy Panigrahi.
