Now we look forward to celebrating our winners and qualifiers at the Roscommon Ploughing Association Awards & Presentation Night.

Today we are delighted to publish our Sponsor Board, which was displayed proudly at the Championships field on the day, recognising the many people and businesses whose generosity and support helped make this year’s event possible.

As a voluntary organisation, the continued support we receive from our local communities and businesses is absolutely vital. Quite simply, without this sponsorship, goodwill and encouragement, Roscommon Ploughing Association could not continue to operate, organise and grow the Championships each year.

An enormous amount of voluntary effort goes on behind the scenes throughout the year — from planning and preparation to sourcing sponsorship and organising the event itself. Because of this, it is hugely important to us that we properly acknowledge and recognise those who continue to stand by and support our Association. We are sincerely and deeply appreciative of every contribution received, no matter how big or small.

🌾 You’re Invited – Help Shape the Roscommon Ploughing Championships 2026! 🌾

The Roscommon Ploughing Association warmly invites our community to a Public Meeting in Castlecoote Hall, Castlecoote on Thursday, 12th March at 8:30pm.

At this meeting we will officially announce that the Roscommon Ploughing Championships & Field Day 2026 will take place on Sunday 3rd May 2026 at the Hanley Family Farm, Fuerty, Co. Roscommon.

This annual event is a proud tradition in our county and continues to grow every year. We welcome visitors from all over Ireland, with competitors travelling from outside the county to take part. It is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Roscommon, celebrate our rural heritage, and support local businesses and the wider community.

But the success of this event comes from community involvement.

💡 We want your ideas, suggestions, and participation.
🤝 We want people who are willing to help make the day even better.
🏡 We want to highlight everything that makes our community and County great.

Whether you are a local resident, farmer, business owner, volunteer, or simply someone who enjoys the day, your voice and involvement matters. Together we can make the 2026 Championships another outstanding success for Fuerty, Roscommon, and all who visit.
