Appeal for COE Renewal funding - Charity Vehicles

We are seeking support for the COE renewal of two charity vehicles that are essential for our daily community work.

🚐 Toyota Passenger Van (PC5052L) – used to ferry disabled persons, elderly participants for activities, and dialysis patients to our dialysis centre.
🚛 Mitsubishi Goods Lorry (YP1998J) – used for collection of donated goods and delivery of essential items to needy families.

These vehicles are used solely for charity purposes and help us continue serving vulnerable members of our community.

If you or your organisation would like to support the COE renewal funding, please reach out to us. Every bit of support helps us continue our mission of helping those in need. 🙏

GOVE is proud to be fundraising for New Hope Community Services (New Hope CS), a social service agency dedicated to bringing real, lasting change into the lives of the displaced and disadvantaged in our community.

Since 2004, New Hope CS has been empowering individuals and families with the support they need to rebuild their lives. From providing temporary shelter and casework, to mentoring, job-matching, life-skills training and long-term housing and employment support, their work goes far beyond immediate relief. They walk alongside their beneficiaries on the journey toward stability, dignity and independence.

Working closely with their 3P Partners — Public, Private and People — New Hope CS serves all regardless of race or religion, creating a community where no one is left behind.

A full member of the National Council of Social Service since 2005 and an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) until 2026, New Hope CS continues to make a meaningful impact where it matters most.

This Mediacorp video follows a top student's unexpected journey into homelessness in Singapore. It explores the challenges faced, including navigating daily life without stable housing and securing meals. The story offers a glimpse into the resourcefulness and resilience required to overcome adversity.

How you can help:
• Refer homeless youth/children to social services, contact the nearest Family Service Centre (FSC) or ComCare hotline for immediate assistance pathways.
• Offer respectful humane support. Sometimes a listening ear, information about services, or community referrals matter deeply.
• Spread awareness by educating others about homelessness helps reduce stigma and rally more community care.

If your support involves helping someone directly:
• MSF Singapore & PEERS Network (Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers) helps link rough sleepers to services and you can direct someone to social workers or contact groups through MSF.
• Family Service Centres provide holistic support including casework, counselling and referrals for children and families.

💔 Urgent Appeal: Help Victims of the Tai Po Fire 💔

On 26 November, a devastating fire ripped through Wang F*k Court in Tai Po, destroying homes and tearing lives apart. The lives lost, the families displaced, the scale of this tragedy is heartbreaking.

The Hong Kong Red Cross has launched the “Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal”, mobilising disaster relief, first aid, mental-health support and emergency supplies for hundreds of affected households.

🙏 Please consider donating, every contribution helps provide vital support: shelter, cash assistance, food, emotional support and hope. https://www.redcross.org.hk/tc/index.html

📦 What your donation can do:
• Provide emergency aid and basic necessities to displaced families.
• Help deliver psychological support and mental-health services to those traumatised by the disaster.
• Offer a lifeline to families starting over after losing their homes.

✊ Together, we can stand in solidarity with our Hong Kong brothers and sisters in this dark hour. Please give what you can and share this post.
