🐾❤️ Thank You, Rainy-Day Heroes! 🌧️
Even with today’s rainy weather on 16 May 2026, our amazing ASHRAE YEA volunteers and HKIE YMC friends showed up with full hearts and made a real difference at Big Tree Animal Sanctuary in Kam Tin! 🐶🐱
From playful dog interactions to gentle cat cuddles, laughter filled the air as we supported rescued animals and learned their stories. Your dedication truly shines — rain couldn’t stop our community spirit! ☔❤️

Did you know people spend about 90% of their time indoors? The air inside our buildings matters more than most people realize and May is the perfect reminder of that. During National Asthma & Allergy Awareness Month, standards and guidelines like ASHRAE Standard 62.1 are more important than ever.

After more than 20 years of transformative leadership, Jeff Littleton will retire as Executive Vice President of ASHRAE in early 2027.

Since 2004, Jeff has served as ASHRAE’s chief staff officer, guiding the Society through a period of remarkable growth, strategic global expansion and heightened impact. Among his many accomplishments, Jeff guided ASHRAE through the extraordinary challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the organization remained strong and sustainable for the future.

As a steady and trusted champion of our mission, he has strengthened ASHRAE’s role as the worldwide authority in building technology, sustainability and critical standard-setting.

Jeff’s legacy is defined by his profound dedication to fostering a collaborative culture, nurturing a shared purpose between staff and volunteer leaders and empowering the organization to reach new heights of excellence. His stewardship has positioned ASHRAE as a robust, forward-thinking organization poised for the future. Jeff’s leadership has left an indelible mark on our Society, and we are profoundly grateful for his integrity, dedication, and lasting influence.

The ASHRAE Board of Directors has established a selection committee to guide the search for the Society’s next Executive Vice President. The committee will focus on identifying a leader who will build upon ASHRAE’s strong foundation and continue the legacy of excellence that Jeff has helped sustain.

Please join us in thanking Jeff for his unparalleled commitment to ASHRAE and wishing him the best in his next chapter.
